The Institute of Medical Physics and Microtissue Engineering is an interdisciplinary research Institute at the Medical Faculty at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). The research at IMP focuses on the study of cells in the context of their microenvironment (Kristian Franze) as well as on adaption processes in a macroscopic perspective (Wolfgang Kemmler).

We are looking for two motivated PhD students to work on the role of tissue mechanics in neuronal development and regeneration.  You will be integrated in a multidisciplinary team with great atmosphere.  The projects will be carried out at the new Max Planck Zentrum für Physik und Medizin at FAU in close collaboration with the University of Cambridge.  For more information, click here.
